About MUT Bilingual Programme

The MUT bilingual programme is an innovative programme recently established by the Faculty of Engineering, Mahanakorn University of Technology. The programme is designed to provide a high-quality international alternative for undergraduates in Engineering. The main objective of the programme is to prepare engineers with international standard skills to serve the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) and global workplace by providing high-standard education and overseas opportunities (e.g., internship, cutting edge research experience at the world recognized institutions).

To accomplish the goals, MUT has worked in collaboration with the partner institutions, The University of Sheffield, Oxford Brookes University, Imperial College London, University of Surrey, Coventry University, The University of New South Wales, University of Sydney, Heriot-Watt University and Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology.

At present we offer two options: twinning programme with The University of Sheffield (TUOS) or Oxford Brookes University (OBU) and 4-year programme.

Twinning Programme

The twinning programme aims to provide students a great opportunity to study in top-class universities with a more reasonable tuition fees. Students study the first two years of the programme at MUT then transfer to the later years of the programme at TUOS or OBU. This programme also offers students the opportunity to undertake internships within companies abroad and further study in the world’s top universities.

4-year Programme

The 4-year programme aims to provide students an opportunity to study in international environment by inviting scholars to give lectures, organizing international research seminars, visiting universities aboard, establishing inter-cultural contacts and improve their language proficiency. The students will gain the same quality as the twinning programme, but the overall costs are much lower.
